I’m a New York/Los Angeles-based journalist, with a specialty writing about Jews and drugs. I also cover science, culture, and policy. My writing appears daily in Jane Street Journal, and has been featured, among other places, in Motherboard/VICE, Playboy, the LA Weekly, High Times, Rolling Stone, Times of Israel, the Forward, Inverse, and the Village Voice, where I had a column on cannabis. I’ve also appeared on KPFK’s The 420 Files, the High Times podcast, KNCE’s Wake Up Taos, and other shows. When not behind my laptop, I like to visit pot farms, everywhere from northern California to Israel. I have a bachelor’s in rhetoric and linguistics from UC Berkeley and a master’s in journalism from Columbia University. Between college and grad school, I lived in south Tel Aviv, where I worked with Israel’s African refugee community.
